I'm locked out at the first attempt

    I installed the plugin on a couple of sites last week. I didn’t forget my password but after even one attempt it locks me out and makes me wait 60 minutes. Then 60 minutes later I try again, and am immediately locked out again. This has been going on for days. I did not set the plug in to lock out after one failed attempt so I don’t know why this is happening? I’m petty sure the password is correct. Maybe my version of wp is too new? Any ideas how to get back in? Thanks!~

  • @ukmarkus – it’s difficult to debug based just on your description. My suggestion would be to go in via ftp and navigate to wp-content/plugins, and then rename the login-lockdown plugin to something else temporarily, like login-lockdown-disabled, and then see if you can log in. Please let me know if that works.

    Also, are you on a work network, where multiple people might all be trying to access the site from the same ip address?

    HI Michael, thanks for the quick response. No, nobody else on the network. Just me on my home computer. Ok, I’ll give that a try. It says that this version of LL isn’t tested on my version of WP. Could that also be a problem?

    No, the plugin works fine through 4.3.1, I just have not updated that info yet. I am waiting till I get the next release done so I can update everything at once.
