• I am amazed at how many login attempts are being made on my website https://www.epnet.co.za I have been frustrated with this for some time and have read in forums and downloaded various plugins like, “Limit Login Attempts” but for one reason or another things keep going wrong. I wonder why WordPress does not make it easier to change the wp-login.php to allow me to choose a different name for the login page. Then these spam bots or whatever they are will never find it. Easy answer? I am currently using “Syspeace Reporter for WordPress” and what a wonderful piece of software this is. I can actually sleep at night without the worry of whether my site is being hacked. The reason of my amazement is that this software clearly just stops the IP for however long I want it to. It also clearly displays how many attempts have been made. The reason for writing this is that I would really like WordPress to build-in the functionality of being able to change the name of my Login page, would make such a big difference with security.
