Visual Editing not working in my WP 2.3.1

  • I installed WP 2.0.2 on my site as supplied by my ISP. I immediately upgraded to 2.3.1. The upgrade seemingly went ok, except that all the buttons you normally expect are gone.

    What I have on my Write post and Write page editing toolar: Three vertical lines which should be separators for wysiwyg buttons; and icon to split the post with a “more” message; a spellcheck icon; help icon; icon to expand to “advanced” toolbar. The advanced tools bar shows a format dropdown; some undescribed dropdown;and 4 perpendicular seaparator lines.

    I checked the downloaded files against what I have on my server and they are the same. The checkbox for Visual Editing is checked on my profile.

    What am I lacking and where do I get it?V
