I’m using Genesis w/ Dynamik for my website. I edited the job templates by copying the folder here: /wp-content/themes/dynamik-gen/lib, and renaming it to job_manager as shown in the documentation. Unfortunately, after some updates, I lost my changes (had a backup though). Where is the correct location for these files so that they don’t get overwritten again?

    Thanks,

You probably need to create a child theme so that updates don’t overwrite your changes:

Let me know if there’s anything else I can help with! ?? Thanks!

Thanks, Adam, but I’m using Dynamik, which is a child theme of Genesis. I guess I need to ask in the Dynamik forum in case it might be something specific to that.

I may have misunderstood the first time…

The correct location for template override files (for the core plugin) is in a folder like so:

    wp-content/your-theme/job_manager

If you had it inside the “lib” directory, then yeah, a theme update may have erased those changes.

Thanks, Adam. Yes, that’s where I have it, I don’t know why I put it there, I just followed the instructions. I will move it to the correct location. Others might want to know that Dynamik has a field where you can put the names of protected folders such as this so that they will not be lost during upgrades.

    Thanks for your help!
