I want to add a right side bar, which will feature a Facebook like box and 2 placeholders for some promotion.

Do you want to add this sidebar to all pages?

No no,sidebar will be only on the main page not on individual blog page. This will be blog site only.

How wide will the sidebar be? How far will be be away from the other content on the page? What will happen on smaller devices?
