Password generation and IE8 issue

    Hi all

    Come across a strange issue with the new password change/generation feature of WP 4.3 and IE8.

    The generate password button on the user profile does not function at all in IE8 if the Stream plugin is enabled. Clicking the button just doesn’t do anything. Disable the plugin and it starts working again.

    If this could be looked into for all us poor developers who still have to support customers who use IE8 please?

    Thanks for submitting this. I’ve been unable to reproduce it since I don’t have any access to IE8.

    I’ve reported the issue on our Github repo over here: https://github.com/xwp/stream/issues/784

    Hopefully I’m able to find someone with an older Windows PC for me to test on, or one of our community members will be able to issue a bugfix.

    Free and legit VMs with IE8 can be downloaded from the Modern.ie website for testing purposes.

    This was fixed in 3.0.3.

    Tested and works.

    I know IE8 support is a pain but some of pour customers are behind the times!
