Regarding the code in this thead, is it possible to make it work using the executable php widget?

When I try that, I get this in the sidebar:

Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in /-path-/wp-content/plugins/execphp.php(24) : eval()’d code on line 6

Otherwise is there a top authors widget that already exists? I couldn’t find one. Closest thing I could find is Top Commentators.
