Login failing from only one computer

  • I’m making a website for a friend. It’s been running fine for a few weeks. He was logged in automatically for the first few weeks but now he can no longer login via the wp-admin page.

    When he tries to login PC firefox it says invalid username/password. The login works fine from my computer iMac chrome and I have tried it on another computer in my house with same result.

    We tried creating another admin login but no change. He also tried installing chrome no change.

    One slightly odd thing, I had wordfence installed and none of his failed login attempts showed up.

    Disabled wordfence too, but no change.

    Any suggestions?

    Try deactivating all of your plugins to explore whether any could be responsible. If none are, keep all plugins deactivated and switch to the Twenty Fifteen/ Fourteen theme to see whether it could an issue with your theme.
