disable menu "first letter" effect

Hi,

While working on some accessibility issues, I had to fix manually the “first-letter” size on menu items, using !important (which I don’t like when there is a better solution)

I wonder how can I add a function to override the fixes size of the first letter and make it proportional 125% of the menu font size.
