Unable to delete items that are no longer present

    We have WP All Import working with a CSV file with around 1500 products at the moment but there is no option for deleting products that are no longer present (which all tutorials seem to indicate there is). I have tried changing the import to download from a URL but the option is still not there.

    What can I do to get this feature working?

    Hi anim8_me,

    That feature is not able to be used when importing into existing items. WP All Import is only able to delete records removed from your import file when importing into new items.

    So, you’ll need to create a new import and set it to import into new items. You can read more about re-running imports here: https://www.wpallimport.com/documentation/recurring/update-import/

    I have a similar query;

    I am importing affiliate products. The feed have about 10000 products, but I am in testing mode and therefore I am only taking in 200 products.
    I updated the import to only take in 100 products, but 200 remain in the shop.
    I have set the options to delete products not in the feed, which it should do right?
    Was under the impression that it would then take the “other” 100 products out completely, delete images and everything?

    Is this is not possible now, is that something you are working on?

    WP All Import will delete products removed from your import file, and if you want it to, the images as well. If it’s not doing this, we’ll need to see your data and settings to figure out why. Please submit a support request and we’ll take a look: https://www.wpallimport.com/support/

    Please confirm this is what you want.

    WP All Import is only able to delete records removed from your import file when importing into new items.

    @wpallimport By this you mean that the import settings won’t allow you to Create, Delete and Update posts all in the same job.

    To Create, Delete and Update posts we need to create two jobs:

    1. Create and Update posts (ideally ran first)
    2. Delete posts that have missing records in the import file

    Correct?

    If so, it’s extraneous on the user to have to set up two jobs for just to be able to review missing records in the import source and compare them to the posts that already exist, all in one final pass that performs a final cleanup routine

    Furthermore, since we are being relegated to creating two import jobs to accomplish all this, it would be nice to have a button to duplicate the initial import so that we don’t have to recreate the second job manually.
