Seamless Redirection of Blog

    I have a blog at xxxx.typepad.com which I just migrated over to WP using a hosting service, (BlueHost). How can I get traffic from the typepad site redirected here? Once I am able to do that, how long should I keep the typepad blog up?

  • Quickest way would be to make a post on your old blog and point folks to your new one.

    If you’re able to modify your theme over at typepad, you can also add in a banner across the top pointing folks to your new site with a link.

    I did make a posting over at the old blog and made it a “feature” so it remains at the top, (not that I am posting there any longer). How about the search engines? Is there anything I need to do there?
