• I believe I have disabled menus completely, yet one still shows up under the site logo. If this is automatically generated, how do I disable it? I want the menu in the header bar only. I know how to do that, but the menu under the logo I do NOT want.

  • Hi there!

Create an empty menu and assign it to the Primary menu location. It will default to the default menu created by WordPress otherwise.

    Thanks, Melissa.

I’ve made that change, although my goal in moving the menu from below the site logo to the header bar was to tighten up (lose some of) the space that area.

I’d still like to do that, if possible, but as for the menu now appearing in the header bar, the text defaults to flush left; not centered, like the rest of the page elements. I found the popup menu to center elements in the header AREA (the logo), but that doesn’t affect the header bar.

How can I center the menu text in the header bar and also reduce some of the vertical space below the site logo?

    Thanks.

    Hi Mike,

Unfortunately you’ll need to edit your theme’s CSS files in order to make those changes. It’s not a theme option.

That’s extremely disappointing, not having the ability to do a simple thing like centering text in the menu bar when everything else on the page is centered.

Can I expect that option to be available soon?

Can you please post a link to your site?

Never mind. I took the menu out of the header bar and put it back where it was before. It’s centered now.

    Thanks.
