    Hi

I have what looks like a javascript glitch in my core wordpress files. This is making the two dropdown menu boxes (to choose front page and posts page) on the Settings | Readings page extend horizontally almost to infinity and rendering them inoperable.

No other menu is behaving like this and the site is functioning perfectly otherwise. I have checked on two machines (PC and Mac) in Chrome, Opera, Firefox and Safari. All exhibit the same issue with these two menus.

Please could somebody help solve this?

Which file in WordPress contains the code for those two menus? I do not want to do a complete re-install to solve one minor hiccup if it can be avoided.

    Thank you

    – Your browser can help you identify JavaScript issues or conflicts. Do you have any Javascript errors in the console when looking at the editor page? – This article can assist you in doing that diagnosis

    Thanks. Tried all that.

I think I have found the problem. The blog owner had pasted an entire blog post into the title as well as in the text editor.

I deleted that and all is working. Why this was the issue I have no idea but that was it. The drop down menus have returned to normal!
