compatibility issues with Newspepper theme

I’m using the Premium Newspaper theme for my site. It doesn’t show any movies on home page or posts page. I was looking at the documentation compatibility section and saw this. So though you might point me to the right direction.

Also for movies, I cannot choose template like normal posts.
