  • Hi there, I hope you managed to fix your issue, but if not try removing the space between…1509, 1510… so it should look like [mpress_image_refresh attachment=”1509,1510″ size=”full”]

    The space, or lack thereof, in the shortcode won’t make a difference. It will work either way.

    The issue you are experiencing is WP Engine caching. The cache won’t clear for 10 minutes, so you will only get a random image once every 10 minutes. The most recent version of the plugin was updated to better comply with WP Engine’s standards and shouldn’t be an issue anymore.

    I am having this same issue with WordPress Engine. When you say the most recent version of the plugin shouldn’t have this issue anymore do you mean that we should be able to see a new image sooner than every 10 minutes?

    WordPress Engine will do an exclusion if I can provide them with a cookie or other method to reference. Is there one for this plugin?

    thanks!

    @heathergm,

    There were actually two caching related issues at play related to the original support issue: query caching and page caching. I fixed the issue where query caching was preventing images from changing. However, page caching on WPEngine will still effect the results. Currently, on WPEngine you can expect a new (random) image to be shown every 10 minutes.
