Update OK?

  • It’s been a couple of years since I set up my website and recently I was automatically updated to WP 4.3.1.
    I also see my Responsive theme has an update available.
    It looks like I set up a Child theme originally so I’m guessing I could update the theme w/o a problem…am I right?
    (And how can I tell?)

  • 1. make a copy of your current theme (download all files is easiest probably, or make a copy of the folder if you have access that way).
    2. update the responsive theme.
    3. check the changes in the ui.

    If it looks ok or if you think you can make the necessary changes, you’re good.
    If not, you have the option to go back to the previous version.

    Most likely, there will be changes in your layout.
