• Greetings,

I have been happily using this add on for a while.

I noticed that two people made payments today but they were not submitted to braintree at all.

I am using WordPress 4.3.1 and the 1.1.2 version of this addon.

I looked at the Braintree Settings in Gravity Form and it says:

“This add-on needs to be updated. Please contact the developer.”

So apparently this addon no longer works for some reason.

    Any plans for an update?

    Blessings,

    Jon

I turned it all off and just put a paypal button on our site for a day.

Then I deleted this add on and reinstalled it. (By the way, even though it said it would delete all settings, the settings were remembered when I reinstalled).

Now it seems to be working.

    Did you do anything?

    I am very curious.

I love this plugin, but I am very concerned about relying on it when I am not sure if there are updates in the future.

Do you plan on continuing to maintain and update this plugin?

    Anyways…

For now I appreciate this plugin. It made a way for me to use Braintree to accept credit card donations on a website that I manage.

    Blessings…

I was experiencing the same problem, after we changed from sandbox to production with an updated web design. The site already used Braintree successfully in the past.

After talking with Braintree, we realized the transaction was failing because it was not receiving the required zip code and email address with the transaction details from Gravity Forms. I did have a required billing address and required email in my form, but the Braintree plugin is not passing those details with it.

We had to temporarily disable the AVS “zip code not included” rejection in Braintree Settings, and also disable the default Email Receipt option.

I will probably have to add some custom web hooks or create a custom module to get this working properly. I attempted to visit the developer’s website and it has a security warning and will not display.

Best case scenario, the developer for this Braintree plugin should update it to include options for the billing address fields and email address fields.

yes, i also found today that a fresh install didn’t work. i posted this in GitHub: https://github.com/plugify/gravity-forms-braintree/issues/27

when I go to the “Braintree Settings” page on a new install with the latest GF i get a big red “This add-on needs to be updated. Please contact the developer”

on the “Feed Settings” page there is no mapping available – i assume mapping fields from my form to what BT expects would be what i would see here so I think it’s really not working.

I embed the form on a page and the form doesn’t even show up.

so it seems this plugin needs just a little update. i am reaching out to GF to see if they will adopt it.

The only problem with Gravity Forms “adopting” this is that their addons only work with their developer license. I don’t know that I would pay $200 per year for this.

But I would pay the $39 per year that I am paying with a personal license.

    ??

yes, that fee won’t make sense for everybody. but at least their add-ons work!

meanwhile i tried the other 2 BT plugins and neither works.

going to try a direct integration now and if that seems too much work I’ll try Wufoo since they say they support BT.

FYI to everyone – this plugin has been taken over by a new developer who promises to keep it going.

Can anyone help me with this by any chance?:

This form works well but you can enter all incorrect information and it will still go through. The name, expiration, and CVV, can all be wrong and it will not error on the site. When you log into Braintree is says Address and Zipcode not provided And CVV code is incorrect. Is there a way to create an error if the infomation is incorrect? Additionally is there a way to add the address and zip to the form?

Is this plugin no longer working?

We added the Gravity Form add-on for Coupons, and when we installed it – the Braintree form broke and now we can’t get it to work again.

Anyone know who the developer on this is and whether we can get in contact?

I’ve got the Gravity Form working now…had to uninstall and reinstall – then the plugin worked with the Coupons add-on.

Now the problem is that when a transaction gets declined, the registration information is not captured as an entry in Gravity forms, even though the transaction was submitted through to Braintree and declined by the processor. Seems odd that only an entry is created on a successful transaction, not a declined transaction?

Anybody still working this plugin add-on?

Naomi from gravity plus is the new developer. I’m glad you got it at least partly working, but I don’t think she is done with her revisions to it yet.

It’d be nice if Naomi or another Dev on the project were to update us or make an official statement. Having a plugin on the marketplace which does not work and which, besides the support section posts, gives the impression of working does nobody any favours.

    @helloari

Are you saying that Gravity Forms is taking this on and it will now only be available to people with developer license?

Or are you just saying they are taking on this free add-on?

Either way, I don’t see any signs that anybody has done anything with this at all.

I was told Naomi was taking it over – not the official GF team. I have not heard any further updates.
My impression was that it would remain free.

ok, she is not very motivated to fix this plugin. it is not trivial to keep it up to date. can anyone on here pledge a donation if it gets fixed? i will donate at least $100.
