• If I import from my local server and some of the posts are duplicated will I get two of each of these? I have most of my work on the local server. I imported what was done so far into a new installation of wordpress online. When I did this, some of the posts were uncatagorized (even though there were catagories when I exported them). I am leary of reimporting the whole thing and I can’t find anything specific. I found the instructions export, then import. I need to know if this will make a mess of the site if I import some of the same things?

I need to continue making changes on the local copy because of the reasons listed below.

I can’t continue to make changes online because my host 1and1 is a a big piece of **?$#&!. Yesterday they blocked my ip to my own sites because I had more that 1 connection to my ftp at the same time. They say 24 hours before I can get into my ftp. I can’t even go to my sites with a browser until the block is lifted. This is the hosting service that I am PAYING MONEY for!! I don’t want to waste a day, possibly the entire weekend (as this is a Friday) without getting any work done.

Could I empty the wp_posts table and then upload, or would that break something?

I really don’t mean to be rude, but I am sure somebody should know the answer.

If I import to my online wordpress from my copy of wordpress on my local server and some of the posts are duplicated will I get two of each of these?

What would I have to do to avoid double posts. Is my only option a fresh install?

Thanks for any help you might be able to share.
