Just installed but don’t know how to launch WordPress

  • I followed the installation instructions and now I’m trying to actually see something in WordPress. When I enter /localhost/blog/wp-admin, I get a directory listing. When I try to run anything (such as INDEX.PHP), it forces me to logon and then gives me a directory listing. I’m expecting some kind of menu to come up…what am I doing wrong?

  • Are you hosting it on your own computer?
    In that case the server’s settings are not OK, but we are not supporting server administration questions.

    If you are not hosting it on your own machine – then do’nt use “localhost/etc…”
