I am new to wordpress and new to blogging in general. I was wondering if it was possible to have a “main page” that does not ever change as well as a few other pages like this. Example, when someone comes to my site https://www.mysite.com, they see the templete and a hello message, but it does not change. Then they press the blog button and go to where I place my blogs per date, etc. Also, if it’s possible to have a page that surfers can go to and I can have articles or another page that never changes. Thanks in advance.

    1. Main page: read, try to Options > Reading: front page
1a. in the same time assign a Page for your posts, too.

    2. Pages created in Write > Write Page are “static”.

    3. Just NEVER try to mix Pages and post (except the options in 1 and 1a).

This is exactly the same question I have except that my main ‘Home’ page is not showing in the Drop-Down box in 1a. with the rest of the pages I have added. I can add the page I wish to post to but without being to identify the main page as the static page, the posts continue to post to the first main page. How do I correct the issue as to have the main page show up in the drop-down box in 1a.

In addition, is there a way posting to one page one day and one page the next? Or is the answer changing the 1a box?

    Thanks.
