How to get my style.css back?

well, that’s what AO does; aggregating and minifying all CSS, including style.css into one file and injecting that in your HTML. if for some reason you don’t want style.css to be aggregated, you can add style.css to the comma-seperated list of CSS-optimization exclusions.

The files are being stored in cache, and it’s being piled up in one folder. My dilemma is what if it grows upto 1GB and up? That could eat my entire disk space. If I uninstall AO, would that bring everything back to normal?

Under normal circumstances cache size remains well below 1GB, but if not there’s some interesting info on “cache size” in the FAQ. the next version of AO will show a warning on the admin pages if the size is bigger then 0.5GB (if you want that, you can download the intermediate version straight from GitHub).

Uninstalling AO (or deactivating it) will indeed bring everything back to normal.
