Local Install on Mac

  • I got my WordPress to work just fine with MAMP about two weeks ago. I fired up MAMP recently and found it was no finding my website. I troubleshot and found an error in the PHP file.

    I now see my half completed website, but the WordPress is not showing up. I simply cannot access it. I think it is simply a matter of not being logged into WordPress (and I don’t know where to find the local login) or???

    Anybody know what the problem is? I can’t provide a link because I have it is Local Hosted.

    I would send a screen shot if I could.

  • Hi, did you try localhost/yoursite/wp-login.php to access the login area? Or can you see the login area at all?

    If everything fails, try to backup/export the database from phpmyadmin and try a new install. That should do it.
