Sort by category

I wai want to create a dropdown list of specific categories. and when a user clicks on the category it dispalys all posts from that category in a specific way. any build in plugin for sorting posts by categories?

just i need is a simple dropdown which contains all the categories.. when a user clicks it dispals all the posts in that category
