Problems with menus or sub menus

  • hi all,

    I am new at wordpress so plzz help me.

    I want to create a website regarding jobs and i post a jobs in that by different categories like.

    Jobs by State (under this states names like)
    California
    texas etc.

    but when i post, the post will show only home page not under head of california.
    plzzz tell me what can i do. Can i create pages or categories for top or sub menus..plzzzz helppp
