• So I logged in and I’m having issues with my website. My site suddenly doesn’t have Jetpack and I can’t write blog posts in the visual version. It says I need to reload 4.3.1 but every time I try it won’t work. Even on Chrome and other computers.

    Help!

Have you tried manually reloading? If not, try MANUALLY reuploading. Download a fresh copy of the WordPress .zip file to your computer, unzip it, and use that to copy up all files and folders EXCEPT the wp-config.php file and the /wp-content/ directory. You may need to delete the old wp-admin and wp-includes folders and files on your server before uploading the new ones. Read the Manual Update directions first.

Yes, I tried to reinstall numerous times on Chrome and various computers. Does not work! ??

Tara- that sounds scary to manually reload. I did download but don’t know how to copy files to the folders. If I were to lose anything which is all customized, there is no way I’d be able to replace the customized content and visuals. I’m hesitate to do that since I’m not an expert in such things.

Currently I’m using Blogger now to create my posts and then copy pasting them into Word press. I’m annoyed I have to create a Blogger account to make something work in Word Press.

Always keep a current backup of everything. You can never have enough backups!

If you haven’t already done, always backup everything (including your database) before doing any actions, just in case something really goes wrong.
