Plugin Widget Broken – Not Working

How does the widget in the frontend look like?

Nothing appears from it at all. A slideshow is installed now at the bottom right sidebar of the homepage – beneath (“Program Support..” and that logo).

When it first stopped working, the slideshow title would appear, but not the slideshow. Now nothing appears.

Did you re-add the Widget after updating?

Yes. After it stopped working, I tried re-installing the widget – and then re-installing the plugin.

At first the logos were scrambled and in the wrong place and size (we were using 3 slideshows stacked). Then it just disappeared and stopped working all together.

I am pretty sure there is an issue that no results have been retrieved from the database. I changed the plugin to display nothing if no results were found.

The question remains why nothing is found, as it works perfectly fine on my local server. Did you check the category that it is really a link category? And that there are links in the category?

Yes. Unless I’m missing something our link categories are the same they have always been. There are three link categories – they use images uploaded to this WordPress account and are included in the links setup. Screenshot below.

does the standard link widget work?

It seems to – just plugged it in with the same link category I referenced before for example.. “Bronze Sponsors”

Never used this for anything by itself though.

Just wanted to update here that the slideshow is working great once again for me.

Kolja was very responsive and fast with solutions to improve the functionality. And went above and beyond to help resolve the issues we were having quickly.
