Download Failures

  • Here’s the thing – I’ve found lots of other people who seem to be having the same kind of error as me, however the topics that discuss the error are really above my understanding.

    I’m trying to update WordPress and my plugins, because almost everything is out of date. However, whenever I try to, I get this message:

    “Download failed. SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate”

    Unfortunately, I have no idea what any of that means (except obviously the ‘download failed’ part). Can anyone help me?!

    – Have you contacted your hosting provider about this error? They should be able to fix it for you.
