Recommendations for theme or plugin for a website for my local town

Hello,

I’ve been tasked with building a website for our local town and wish to use WordPress if I can.

It’s a website that will list places to shop, restaurants, hotels, what’s on guide etc.

For a shop listing for example, I would like to be able to list open times easily and (ideally) have it display ‘Open Now’ if it is within the opening times. Take aways could have menus uploaded, and a facility to add an events calendar as well.

Is there a specific plugin for this sort of thing that anyone could recommend? I appreciate I could use WordPress as standard with an events plugin to largely achieve what I want but would like something ‘for purpose’ if possible.

I have tried Googling but I can’t seem to find anything exactly right. I don’t mind paying for the software if necessary.
