I am running WP 2.3.1 on my blog (https://wargamingforums.com) and I post a lot of images.

Right now I manually resize the images and then add a hyperlink to the original file. This is very time consuming.

I’m looking for a thumbnail plugin to help make all this easier. I need a simple plugin that will automatically create a thumbnail of any image in a post or page. It then has to create a link for that thumbnail to the original file.

I don’t need anything complicated. I want a plugin that I can download, FTP into my plugin directory, activate and use right away. Aka I want something plug n’ play.

Does anyone know of a plugin that can do what I want fitting the above requirements?

I did some searching and most of the plugins are for galleries, which I don’t want, or require a lot of work on my end adding into the loop and etc.

  • Look for filosofo old style upload. It works very well (except in OS X Leopard).

Thanks for the suggestion. Is there a version of filosofo that does work on Leopard? I just got a new iMac and it has Leopard on it.

Being unable to create the thumbnails I want has been very frustrating. For some reason the native thumbnail feature in 2.3.1 isn’t working in my installation even though it is supposed to.
