PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record Signature

  • I am working on a brand new website with a freshed installed wordpress.

    When I went to update Akismet and Jetpack, I get this error:

    The package could not be installed. PCLZIP_ERR_BAD_FORMAT (-10) : Unable to find End of Central Dir Record signature

    I have installed other plugins and theme no problem, but I notice certain plugins won’t install. Another one that won’t install is bbPress.

    Quick searches show that it is usually Disk space issue. I have plenty of Disk space on my server, so that isn’t the issue. Also, I wouldn’t be able to add other plugins and themes that are larger than the plugin I am trying to install.

    Any ideas on how to fix this?
