    (@pwagner3)

Fixed it. One of the plugins I installed had me insert a single.php page, and that seemed to be throwing a monkey wrench into the works.

Don’t know why though. Would anyone care to comment?

I am having this exact same problem. I have added a couple of plugins today and now my topic pages are white. i am not versed in css, html, etc so i have no idea what to look for. can someone point me in the right direction?

Disable all the plugins that you added today. What is so complicated in this? You added plugins – they screwed up your site. Logical next step: deactivate those plugins!

If you are into experiments, later activate them one by one always checking your site… until you find the culprit.

I have already done this though, it was the first thing I thought of, actually. It has not worked. What about the theme though? Could that be doing something to it?

I can see all your single posts – so what is the question?

The topic pages, when clicked on, are completely white. None of my content shows up. I had added some plugins yesterday, but I have since disabled them and even deleted a few. It hasn’t made things better. Could it be the theme that I am using?

I have no knowledge of CSS/HTML etc so I don’t really know how to go looking into the problem. What should I do?

What the heck is “topic pages”? You guys, really should learn the WP terminology if you hope to have a meaning ful communication.

The original poster used “topic pages” for single post view.
Now, checking again your website, you seem to use the same nonsense phrase (topic pages) for Pages. Pages with capital P – that’s the WP thing, read the link.

If you suspect your theme, don’t wait anybody’s approval: just switch to another one, like the default or classic and check your site with them. See if it works. If yes, then your theme is the problem. If the don’t, there msut be something else.

I’m sorry that I used the wrong WP terminology. I was just following what the first post said, assuming that was correct. I am new to all of this and I am trying to learn as best I can. What you assume is just common sense for you might not be for everyone else. I have had a website for three days, and WP a little less than that (Before that I had no idea what FTP or CSS was). There is no way possible to think that I can just know what effects what. I would appreciate you not being so patronizing when I come for help.

Currently I am using one of the basic themes (opposed to the ones that you have to download and install manually). I have switched around the themes to ones that I tried previously where everything was still in working order, but to no avail. Yes, I suspected but for no reason other than it was something to suspect. I wasn’t waiting for approval, just hoping that might ring a bell somewhere. Guess not. I’m stupid then.

I need some serious help here, because I am out of my element. If I could just fix it by experimenting I would have by now. I’ve come to support assuming that there are those out here that know how all this works and that can help me. I may be wrong. If someone can recommend some other support outlet that might be more helpful, I am more than willing to go there. I would love nothing more than to talk to someone in person, but after searching the website this is the only support WP has.

Now to restate my problem: When I click on any of the Pages that I have set up, they open up completely blank. They exist in my manager and say that they are published. Deactivating Plugins and switching Themes has not helped. What should I try now?

Someone actually patient enough to sit down with me and work with me helped me resolve my issues.

You should really consider how you deal with people who come for your help and expertise.

Carrie. First of: this forum is a forum and everybody here is just another WP user. There are no paid people to deliver support. I guess Moshu got a little carried away after an entire morning of answering the same questions ??
Anyway, we still don’t know what you’re talking about. It might help if we could actually SEE what you mean, but that requires an url. I think that you’re talking about category pages or something. Do the archives work? These usually use the same PHP.

    Sincerely,

    Roy
    just another WP user
