• Hi, I’m still having trouble updating to version 6.0.16 of wordfence.

I’ve never had problems updating a pluging before.

I got the following message: “The update cannot be installed because we will be unable to copy some files. This is usually due to inconsistent file permissions. tmp/configCache.php”

I tried changing the configCache.php from 644 to 755. Nothing.

Then it was suggested (i’d erroneously posted a question on a resolved topic) that I change my caching options to not cache config, then simply delete the configCache.php file.

I don’t have caching set up through Wordfence. I’m using W3 total cache and I don’t have any options about caching config files?

I’ve also gone through all my wp files, from admin to each plugin. I don’t see any file permissions that have changed at all. I have everything set up either as 644 or 755.

I also tried activating and deactivating the plugin.

I’m sure it is something very simple that I’m failing to see? I hope! I’m still very new at this.

    Thank you,

    Beatriz Herrera
