Organising uploaded images by user, not date

    Guys,
    I have a site where the users have a lot of photos to share.
    Spondon Off Road

    It is creating problems as the upload folder is now 8 pages and shows no signs of letting up.

    What I would like to do, is organise my users uploaded images by USER not by the date of uploading, as is the current way.

    I have already modified my upload behaviour so that more than one image can be uploaded, and still acknowledged by the database using this plugin Multi uploader 4 wordpress which allows multiple image upload in one session.

    I also have a need to keep this as simple as possible, using the existing interface for images, as my users level of computer experience is variable.

    (they are metal bashers not computer guys)

    Thanks for those, I have tried organiser before posting, and the idea is sound, but the pictures not showing up in the browse all bit below the post is a showstopper. the other plugin does some nice renaming tricks, but doesn’t have user specific folders or browsing per users pictures.

    I am grateful for the effort tho, and would love it if someone could crack this.

    My solution was found with the image manager plugin, as it allows users to at least create folders to store their images, manually, not automatically, but good enough for me.

    And the plugin is an excellent image manager as well.
    Why on earth isn’t similar funcionality standard?

    I have been searching and have yet to find a solution. Looking to assign a folder for images that is specific to the user that is logged in at the time. Want them to be able to upload images, view images and delete images, but only in user specific folder. Can anyone help?
