Error message stlyle on required field
-
Hi,
I just discovered your very good plugin and I am currently trying to make my own CSS.
I’m near to the end of the customization but I’m having troubles for styling error messages on required fields.If you go to this page on my website, you’ll see that when you click on “Continue” without having filled the form there are some issues:
- On the first question, you can see that there are three redundant messages (“This is a required question”, “This field is required.” and then “Must be a number between 10 and 90” which is displayed even if you haven’t sent the form yet)
- On the second and third questions, the error message “This field is required.” is located before the first “li” label so user could believe that he must check the first response
Could you please help me on those points?
Here is my custom CSS:
div.ss-required-asterisk { color: rgb(102, 102, 102); font-style: italic; font-size: 80%; } div.ss-q-title { font-weight: bold; } div.ss-form-entry { padding-top: 10px; padding-bottom: 10px; border-bottom: 1px #CCCCCC; } div.required-message { font-size: 85%; font-style: italic; } div.ss-q-help, div.ss-secondary-text { font-style: italic; font-size: 85%; } div.ss-form-entry ul, div.ss-form-entry ol { padding-top: 8px; padding-bottom: 4px; } div.ss-form-entry ul li, div.ss-form-entry ol li { list-style : none; } div.error-message { display: block; float: right; font-size: 80%; color: red; } ul li label span.ss-choice-item-control label.error-message { display: block-inline; font-size: 80%; color: red; }
