• Hi,
I am having a problem whereby the xhtml code on my wordpress index page isnt being validated properly. the link is here
the problem is that ??/strong>? appears before the authors name (i.e. ??/strong>? richard) as you can see on the validator page.
i am using one of the templates from alex’s site, but without the changer plugin, and i also changed the comments to a popup because the template wasn’t working properly with the comments window and it was better, in my opinion anyway, to have it pop up. because of this i changed the template for the comments to the original one (which i am working on customising) but that is directly linked in the comments file only.
This shouldn’t (I dont think) affect the xhtml on the index page, should it? Does any body have any ideas as to how to fix this?
    Thanks, richard ellis

    Okay.
I just got that sorted out. I think it was probably because of AceHTML 5 that I was using to edit the files with. It kept seeming to want to change the charset for no apparent reason. I’ve got no idea where the funny hypen thing came from – it’s not something that I would have changed.
Anyway, thanks for the help. It’s now valid again.
