Automatically filter node_modules
-
This is great plugin, thanks for making it available.
Please can you add a feature?
Exclude node_modules folder by default.
I know there is the directory filters option (which I use) but it’s a pain to type out the path to the theme + node_folders every time.
node_folders isn’t supposed to be deployed ever so its not unreasonable to exclude it.
Also, for people running WordPress on Windows servers it means that the automatic extract fails if you do include the node_modules folder. The paths are too long for Windows and it borks. You can use 7-zip to do a manual extract but then you have to log in to the server via remote desktop, manually extract it and thats a pain as well.
The
node_modules
folder may occur at any place within a wordpress, for example within themes or modules so you can’t hardcode it.The perfect solution to this we would be a checkbox, which is ticked by default that says: Exclude node_modules folders.
