Please i need help to resolving this issue.

Can you explain in bit more detail. By default Microsoft Web Platform Installer 5.0 supports WordPress installation. You can install it easily through Windows Web App Gallery.

i have done all that after the prerequisites stage, then u get the installing stage on the web platform installer, there it starts downloading the files and after like getting to 95% of the download ,it says finished downloading and beneath it,it is still installing without showing the green indicator that it is truly installing and it has been like that since yesterday i started the installation. i cancelled it and started from the beginning and the same thing happened. i wish i could print screen the page and send to u

4.3 is the worse. Unfortunately, I need to move all of my sites to another platform because of 4.3. I have 10 WordPress sites and each one has crashed when updated to 4.3. I am almost to the point of not being able to recover any of my data. I have wasted two days of work and man-hours with my server provider trying to fix this. I am beyond upset at this point.

Don’t you or your host make periodic backups? It’s said and remembered at every single WordPress setup.

Problems you tell are likely about a theme that is now outdated.

    Regards,

Why don’t you try installing wordpress manually? It is far better than any other methods to install wp.

I would say manual install also.

Obviously most of the responses are from users that are unfamiliar with MS Web Platform. Are you just trying to setup WordPress locally on your PC?
