Podpress stopped picking up new episodes

You have to enter (copy/paste) the URL of the media file into the Media URL field, then click the Verify URL button to ensure the media enclosure information is properly added to your post. Make sure you do all of this before saving the post.

Have you tried posting more podcasts since then?

I’ve gone to existing posts and added the media URL, but it doesn’t seem to make a difference.
Yes, we post every week, so we’re over year now since an item has made it into the feed.

When you click the Verify Media button, does it automatically fill in the File Size and Duration fields inside the Podcast Episode box?

Do you receive any kind of error messages? What happens when you try to publish a post? Can you provide a URL for an episode that posted to your website but didn’t make it into your podcast feed?

I see you have a sermons section.

A year ago did you make a change to your site? I will bet you used to use the “Posts” section to publish podcast episodes, then about a year ago you switched to writing your podcast episodes into the “Sermons” section in WordPress.

Our site theme has a sermons feature. I created a new category for podcast, and pointed the feed URL there. It seems to be updating correctly now.

Can you tell us the name of the theme and/or the name of the developer? I’d like to make a not of it as we’ve had a couple support issues recently due to themes that include a “sermons” feature.

In the end, I don’t think it was their fault, but I had to figure out how to categorize “sermons” which seem to be a custom post type.
New feed is here: https://stlvineyard.org/multimedia-category/podcast/feed/ and I have to manually add each sermon to that category and make sure the podcast field is filled in.
