Need to refresh the page to run the gallery

@immograf – I’m not seeing any particular issues with your site when randomly picking images to view … is there a specific gallery that you are seeing this on?

Normally it happens with more than one gallery, but in particular in this one https://www.diegocoello.es/boda-frode-rita/ (also in all the galleries we have in the blog)

Hi immograf and Cais,

I saw that you had exactly the same problem as I have now.. I′m also using the Theme = Lounge (latest update 1.5) and I′m also using the Nextgen Gallery (latest updates 2.1.15), then I got same problem.. I just wanted to know how you solved it..

For some reason on my page, all images get sorted in one column the first time the page loads, but with a refresh of the page (press on F5), they got sorted correct in 4 columns.. the first time I access the page without a refresh, then the images opens in the same window and not in the lightbox..

(then click on the tab “Om Oss” )

Try also to click on the different top tabs in the menu and go back to the tab “Om Oss” and click on the images, then the images open in the same browser window, instead of the lightbox.

Can you please share the knowledge how you solved it.

@portalconsulting – There could be a plugin conflict going on here or at least it should be ruled out. Have you tried deactivating all of your plugins, clearing your browser cache (and site caches if you are using a caching plugin), then reactivating the NextGEN plugin?

If this fixes the problem then it was likely one of the deactivated plugins that was causing an issue. Now, retrace your steps activating each plugin and re-checking to see if the problem returns. If it does then that last activated plugin was probably the one. Keep reactivating and in most cases it is also best to keep checking after each plugin, sometimes there may be more than one plugin on a site that will create an issue. If you do find one (or more) plugins causing this problem we would greatly appreciate your feedback on them so the developers may address them as soon as they can.

Also to note, in rare cases it may be the theme itself that is causing a conflict so while you have just the NextGEN plugin activated you might consider temporarily switching to one of the default WordPress Twenty series themes and see if this corrects the issue as well.

If the problem still persists after all of this we would still want to know, even more so, as we will still want to sort out the issue and may need additional details.

Hi Cais,

I have inactivated all plugins and then activated the Nextgen Gallery plugin using the Theme = Lounge, but still the same issue,

Then I activated the defualt Theme = Twenty Fifteen, and only using the Nextgen Gallery plugin and then it was working fine with the gallery. Then I activated all plugins and it was still working.

Then I activated the theme = Lounge again, and then it was not working..

The strange thing is that the user above (immograf), is still using the Lounge theme together with the Nextgen Gallery plugin and it works fine.

I have removed the cache from the browser every time I tested it.. and the removed cache from the WP super cache plugin

Can you try to active the theme = Lounge together with Nextgen Gallery and see if it works for you?

It seems that Jonas and me have de same problem. I have just seen that it doesn’t happen in the portfolio but it happens in the blog, so I don’t think this will be an incompatibility with a plugin, maybe with the template?

Could you suggest me something to solve this problem?

@immograf & @portalconsulting – It does appear to be something with the Lounge theme from your descriptions. Have you contacted the theme author to see if they have any insights into this problem?

Today I did some more testing,

I created a new page, tested to change the template of the page with the nextgen gallery..

1) standard template
2) Blog template 1
3) Blog template 2
4) Full width

Suddenly it starts working with Full width template, the same template I have been using before, which was not working..

So I just copied all HTML code to the new page, and everything was working fine now.. very strange?

All plugins activated and still using the Theme = Lounge.

Hi again,

I did some more testing, and the new page didn′t have the “Fading” animation, when you enter the page,

So I tried to activate it on the page in the “Qode Customer Fields” area for this new page,

Choose Animation = No animation = page and pictures OK
Choose Animation = Fade = all pictures in one column

then I swithed back to “No animation” for the page, and pictures are OK

so this is the issue for the Theme.. if you want to use the Fade of the page, then the pictures is not working as excepeted..

I just have to live with that the page is not fading..
