I have been a WordPress customer for over 1 1/2 yrs now and want to know 7 things.
1) Does WordPress allow me to put a podcast on my travel site? If so, how do I do so?
2)I also want to put forms or lead capture forms on each post or page and how do I do that?
3)Does WP allow me to put pictures on my site and how? (my SEO didn’t explain many of these things to me)
4)I’d like to know how to put links on my main page if needed. (I know how on other posts and pages.)
5)Is there a way to reach WP by phone? I live 90 minutes away and would be much more convenient.
6)I’m currently paying 24.95/mo hosting fee. Do you know of less expensive ways without hurting the layout that went into my site already?
7)I see there was an update version of WP 26 days ago tonight. If I update it now will it change the extensive work I put into this site?

If you are NOT using a blog at wordpress.com, you can do whatever you want with your blog. No-one “at wordpress” cares. As for the how, search for a podcast plugin — install it, and have at it.

Search for “form plugin” as to how, you follow the install instructions. I dont know what a lead capture is, so cant help you there.

yes, of course. How: upload images, embed them in your posts.

Whats a main page? Links are links.

You live 90 minutes away from where? there is no ‘calling wordpress by phone” There is paid support however it can be very spendy and its not done by “wordpress” .. wordpress isnt an entity, its a project maintained and developed by a combination of developers.

less expensive, how? Free? GOOD, DEPENDABLE hosting costs money. if you want a cheaper host, locate a cheaper host. Where you are hosted doesnt impact the layout of your site.

I hate to come off like an asshole… well ok, maybe ‘hate’ is a bit strong, but I digress…

some people say its a good idea to have the author’s picture on the blog, and from the point of view of full disclosure, I can probably agree with that. However, from a sales perspective, you have to decide whether your photo is doing you any favours or not.

I wouldn’t put mine on my business site, because a lot of my clients have small children who scare easily. I think, frankly, the same applies to you.

I look at your site with that honking big photo of you up there, and I think to myself, where am I traveling to? your place? Also, you don’t really look like my kind of happening fellow, so maybe your idea of great vacation destinations isn’t mine.

Best to let your words convince me, than to allow your mug shot to stop me reading in the first place.
