Anyone having problems with WP sending registration emails?

Does TML use it’s own functions for the registration process or just re-purpose the wordpress default login and registration forms and associated functions?

I was successful in registering and receiving emails with plugin active on another site hosted elsewhere…so doesn’t look like plugin issue.

I can confirm that this is an issue only if you’re using the Custom Email module and running WordPress 4.3.

I was able to fix it by modifying line 584 of custom-email-admin.php to this:

do_action( 'tml_new_user_registered', $user_id, 'both' );

The issue is that in 4.3 the password isn’t sent to users any more so there’s no email to send as that second parameter, when I replace it with a non-empty string, like ‘both’. It will send the notification.

Please, if you can, test TML 6.4 beta here. I’ll be starting a sticky thread at the top of this forum for feedback. Stay tuned!

Thanks Jeff, FYI if you’ve fixed it in the beta within the past few hours, then it’s probably good, but I was testing on the beta when I discovered the issue.

Oh, you know what, you’re right. TML is calling wp_new_user_notification() without passing the second argument. Good find!

Should be fixed now.

I am testing beta now…waiting to see if email shows up ??

With themed profiles activated, When you click the link to return to get the password, it goes to:

https://domainname.com/your-profile/

the set password is at the bottom, so not very intuitive and not inline with the default.

With themed profiles off, it works normally.

Which link are you talking about – when you first register?

I have the same problem since WP4.3. The fix that Josh proposes doesn’t work for me. Any other suggestions. If I find anything I will post a comment.

Yes on registration..The link provided by wordpress to go to the password generator.

Already installed 6.4 beta. That didn’t do it.

Btw, on my test environment it works on production it doesn’t. How can I best debug this on a production enviroment?
