    Hi Kangarooo,

I am sorry for the inconvenience.
Could you disable qtranslate and attempt to export/import again?

    Thread Starter Kangarooo

    (@kangarooo)

I only disabled this migration plugin since i did import already 6months ago and dont need it to be enabled now and deleted log file.
Now did as you said for qtranslate to disable and enable and then enabled also All-in-One WP Migration plugin and still got in 2 seconds
31519 lines in error log witch made in 2 seconds.
Also disabled qtranslete while this plugin is enabled. Didnt help- error logs are trolling very fast.
While i finished this post i got 10mb already in 1minute error log so im disabling this plugin.

    Hi Kangarooo,

Where does the error log file show up?
It is very strange that it takes that much of your space.

    Thread Starter Kangarooo

    (@kangarooo)

    It was in /home/rikojoties/public_html/blog/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/error.log ??
    I removed that file.
It comes back when i enable this plugin and get big very fast since my server has SSD disk.

    (@pimjitsawang)

I remember you reached us once on support at servmask.com.
Could you get back to me since the case seems to be the very first case with this issue?

    Thread Starter Kangarooo

    (@kangarooo)

Really? I dont have been ever seeing that website..
How i contacted? With email? Ill search then email history! What link or email thrue i was contacting ?
    Ok, lets resovle and debug!

    Plugin Author Pim J. Iliev

    (@pimjitsawang)

I am sorry then if that was not you.
The case seemed to be similar – the plugin created a very large error log file.
That user just stopped replying though we really wanted to find out what really was happening since the case was very rare.

You can reach us by email at support at servmask.com

Just for the record, today my server went offline due tot 66GB error log file in:
    web/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/all-in-one-wp-migration/storage# ls -lha
    total 66G
    drwxr-xr-x 2 web10 client1 4.0K Nov 27 06:10 .
    drwxr-xr-x 4 web10 client1 4.0K Nov 27 04:28 ..
    -rw-r–r– 1 web10 client1 66G Dec 9 07:36 error.log
    -rw-r–r– 1 web10 client1 26 Nov 27 04:28 index.php

As I was eager to get things up and running again, I have not looked into the file to see what caused it but deleted the file straight away. As I had already migrated long ago I removed the (excellent) plugin too.

It might be worth looking into this, somehow the plugin keeps logging to this file and it will grow and grow..

    Regards,

    Arend

    update:
I narrowed it down to a massive logging of an open_basedir error:
mod_fcgid: stderr: PHP Warning: is_dir(): open_basedir restriction in effect. File(/) is not within the allowed path(s):
This came from an incorrectly set upload_path in the wp_options table.
The upload_path value was still pointing to the incorrect pre-migration location.

The All-in-One WP Migration plugin should probably rotate the log, or otherwise prevent it from growing unchecked.

    Regards,

    Arend

Thank you so much for the information, Arend.
I have passed them to the engineers and will see what we can do in the future versions of the plugin.

Hi – I have had this problem too but the hosting size prevented it growing bigger than 876MB – now checking other sites and have found others of 500MB upwards.

    Did this get fixed?

    Plugin Author Pim J. Iliev

    (@pimjitsawang)

    Hi Interpro,

You can delete the error log file if you do not plan to use it.

I can, but it increases in size rapidly – up to 100MB in ten minutes. I have had to remove the plugin from all my websites which is a shame as it’s really good and very useful. With customers who have hosting limits it’s not something I can risk going out of control.

    (@arenddeboer)

I agree, this is an issue with the plugin. You cannot tap into the global php error log without doing regular log rotation and cleanup. Users are simply not aware of this logging going on and therefor get problems like this. Make the logging optional and warn / notify of the log location.

    Hello everyone,
The next release of the plugin will address this issue.
