• Hi, good plugin, easy to use. However, facing some issues:

    1. The web page gets centered where the plugin shortcode is placed by default. Not sure how to prevent this from occurring.

    2. The user location does not automatically get detected. The user needs to set the location manually.

    3. The addition of shop locations seems to be manual. If I’ve already added the shops with the address you need to add the shop in a different area. I’m not sure if there is an automated way to achieve this.

I somehow overlooked your post, sorry for the late response.

    1) There is an option on the settings page called “On pageload move the mousecursor to the input field”. If the map isn’t placed at the top of the page, then this will result in the page sliding down. Disabling the option on the settings will fix it.

    2) You can enable this as well on the settings page -> ‘Attempt to auto-locate the user:’

    3) I’m not sure I understand what you mean. Are you talking about having a default value that is repeated every time you add a new location?

    Appreciate your response.

1,2. Thanks. I’ll check out the options. The ‘Auto-locate’ option didn’t always seem to work, not sure why

    3. Let me clarify, I’m looking for a section in the shops where I can add the address of the shops while creating the shop profile (I’m using woocommerce). I’m creating a marketplace where there will be multiple shops from different vendors. At present the plugin seems to be taking a location from it’s own section and not linked to the shop profile. I’m having to recreate the shops to add the locations. I’m sure there is a way, just that I’m not able to figure it out.

Thanks for your guidance and support.

Auto locate doesn’t work, as in it doesn’t ask, or shows incorrect information? Are you testing it in a browser, or mobile device?

It sometimes does show slightly incorrect information, but there isn’t that much I can do about that. You can read how it’s determined here.

I have never worked with WooCommerce, but after installing it I don’t see a section where you can create different shop profiles? Or does this require an add-on?

The only way I can think of to make this easier is to populate a dropdown on the store page in the sidebar that allows you to select a WoocCmmerce shop profile, and then copy the address details for the selected shop profile to the store locator address fields. But this would require some custom code.

Woocommerce has shops section where users can create store. Some of the other store locator plugins (simple locator) create the ‘Location information’ field as a part of the shop to enter the address. The address information from this section is then used to locate the stores.

Your plugin seems to have more features but manually adding the store addresses to a completely different section will be tedious especially in a marketplace scenario where there will be many vendors.

    Appreciate your guidance.

I understand the problem, I just don’t see where I can do this:

Woocommerce has shops section where users can create store.

How do I get to that section in WooCommerce? Are you sure you are not using an WooCommerce add-on that allows you to do this? Which WooCommerce version are you using?

I’m using wordpress v4.3, Woocommerce 2.4.6, Theme Makery (from Envato marketplace).

The ‘Simple Locator’ plugin is adding the Location section in shops. It’s possible that the ‘shops’ section is being added by Makery theme (a marketplace theme). However, somehow the ‘simple locator’ plugin automatically adds the section to the shop and I doubt that it’s doing it specific to the theme. If there is a email id then I can send you a screenshot to show you what I’m referring to.
