Strange Issue with Popularity Contest Plugin (By Alex King)

Hello,

I encounter a strange issue with Alex King’s Popularity Contest plugin (https://alexking.org/projects/wordpress/readme?project=popularity-contest). While the plugin works perfectly on a WordPress Widgets based setup (using the ExecPHP widget), on search results pages, it borks and shows the same post over and over again an example would be:

https://www.alootechie.net (Plugin working correctly)
https://www.alootechie.net/?s=iamai (The plugin shows the same story ten times over, in this case: Karnataka Cricket Association to sell tickets through internet)

Can anyone ascertain the cause for this, and suggest pointers on how to Fix this? I went over to Alex’s site where he explicitly mentions that it is advisable to seek support directly on WordPress Support as against emailing him.
