Search results not accurate

I have been adding an average of 10 tags to all of the products on my website, yet when I go to search for them like a customer using the search box, I’m either getting no results or extremely limited results for each tag. For example, I have 7 products tagged “fall jewelry” but when I search for that tag using the search box, it tells me there are zero results.
