• I recently updated WordPress and while I can get to the main page of my site (albeit the theme isn’t correct–I have posted another inquiry about that in another thread), I get a 404 error when I click on individual posts on my site. The content is there in the dashboard but when I click to view it on the site, I get that 404 code. What should I do?

  • Go to Settings > Permalink and hit save again.

If this doesn’t work, can you share a link to your site?

If your theme is not the right one, go to Appearance > Themes and select the theme that you want to use.

Ah, your first suggestion worked. Thank you! However, the theme that I use is the one that’s active, yet it isn’t working. My site is bloggains.com.

I just looked under health check and got these messages which I don’t know what to do with.

WPtouch: WP Super Cache needs to be configured to work correctly with WPtouch.

Fixing this issue prevents cached desktop pages being served to mobile devices and vice-versa.

Once fixed, this message will be dismissed automatically. Until fixed, WPtouch will not be shown to mobile visitors, and cannot be previewed.

To fix the issue, follow our step-by-step setup guide on support.wptouch.com
