• Hello I have the Rookie Theme installed and all works fine. I have uploaded a header image (not a logo) with 1000px with and 150px height. But when I open my page over my mobile phone this image is not responsive and I can only see a little bit of this image. The images in the articles work fine.
    Can anyone help?

    Hey everyone!

We’ve just released Rookie version 1.3.9 with an option to display the header as an image (rather than a background). This enables a fully responsive header graphic which can be used in place of a logo and title.

Here’s how to switch to the responsive header:

    1. From your WP Admin, go to Appearance and update Rookie to version 1.3.9
    2. Go to AppearanceCustomize
    3. Click Header Image
    4. From the dropdown, change Style to Image

This will switch the header from a background image to an image that will automatically resize proportionally. Please note that the logo and title will not be contained in this header, so you may wish to add it to the image. You may also want to turn off the default logo and title:

    1. Go to AppearanceCustomize again
    2. Click Site Identity
    3. If you have a Logo, click Remove
    4. Uncheck the Display Header Text checkbox

Thanks for your feedback @kingmar84 @shaunc2k15 @gregorywprice @winderatt! I hope you find this new option useful ??

    Hi Brian,

i have noticed the option to display as image but this creates a large space above the header image after enabling this option.

Is this something that can be fixed?

    thanks

@overrryde Thanks for the feedback! Looks like the empty .site-branding div still has padding. This will be fixed in the next update. See this GitHub commit

Is there something I can change in the coding now to fix it until update?

    Thanks for the commit!

Hi Brian, i actually resolved it, didnt realise that it was as easy as just copy/pasting the new code in my sheets!

    thanks again, works great now!
