Can Not Highlight Text in Text Widget

I spent the last two days working to get the WordPress 2.3.1 Upgrade installed. It was not that hard, but it was my first time and it took me some reading and following detailed instructions to get where I wanted to be.

The problem I have is with my text widgets. Everything works great except when I go to my text widgets and try to edit the text, it will not allow me to highlight the text to copy or cut it. There is no error message or anything that graphic, it just will not highlight the text. To copy text from one widget to another, you must be allowed and able to highlight the text.

Anybody know what the problem could be?
