Thank you for that, after some more searching and reading about CSS I was able to accomplish a better version compared to what I had, and the vision I had in my head.

I wasn’t able to figure out how to change the text within the place holder though. Do you know how to do that?

Please include a link to your Contact Form 7 form so we can examine your form in detail using Firebug or Chrome Dev Tools to understand the CSS used for your CF7 form elements.

Once we understand how the HTML and CSS is configured in your CF7 form, we should be able to see the CSS changes you need to change the appearance of the form to suit your requirements.

Thank you for your reply buzztone, is there another way for you to see the code? Maybe if I copy it onto here? Or is it only possible to actually send you to the site.

The reason I ask is because my site is currently under construction and has a maintenance plugin on and to turn it off for the period of time required to get a response is not the most ideal situation.

    Thanks

RE: is there another way for you to see the code?

Sorry there is no other practical way. You?? might add your CF7 form to a site where you can give public access via a link here. The page does need to be included in your WP menu.

In the mean time you could use Firebug or Chrome Dev Tools to examine the HTML and CSS of your CF7 form in detail yourself.

You can learn about these extremely useful developer tools at the following links:

    Hi,

I was able to exclude pages from maintenance mode and have put the contact form on this extra page for you to see what is happening. Thank you for your help!

I would like to get the placeholder text a different colour as mentioned, and possibly if you could help me with how to get the bottom two questions on the left side to be equally spaced like the other ones, they are currently too far away from the rest of the questions.

    Thanks

RE: I would like to get the placeholder text a different colour as mentioned

?See https://blog.teamtreehouse.com/the-css3-placeholder-pseudo-element – that is best explanation I can find on how to style placeholder text.

RE: ??how to get the bottom two questions on the left side to be equally spaced like the other ones, they are currently too far away from the rest of the questions.

Sorry I had a look at your form. The approach you have used is very cumbersome and difficult to style. It would take me far too long to deal with the issues on your form.

But I can point you in the right direction where you can learn how to do it yourself.

Hi Buzztone, thanks for that. I will have a look at the link about the placeholder and see how it goes.

Is there a better way to achieve what I have on my form? I am very new to this and don’t by any means claim to know what I am doing ??

I am definitely open to learning how to make it easier to understand and approach. Thanks

Thank you, I will have a look at some of these links and see if I can figure something out.
