Images Not Appearing in Posts/Pages/Widgets

I was experiencing unusually-slow response logging into and negotiating my Admin area and subsequently discovered it was an image-compressing plugin that was causing the problem, so I deleted the plugin.

All my images are still intact in my Media Library and are visible in my Post Editing area but they no longer appear in the actual post view nor in my Widgets – only the “alt. text” is visible. My favicon also no longer appears on my browser tab. Does anyone know what is wrong here and how to fix this, please? I’d be grateful for any help!
